Boddika & Joy O | Dun Dun / Prone

words: belch

The second über exclusive and limited vinyl only offering from the pair’s SunkLo imprint - brings yet more driving percussive textures, continuing to mould their own distinct mark on ever emerging UK techno scene.

Following the immediate success of their debut release on this imprint “Froth / Mercy” back in February (not to mention one of the top tracks of this year - the brilliant Swims on Swamp 81) ”Dun Dun / Prone” should be in shops by the end of the week. No doubt it’ll get snapped up very quickly, so keep your eyes peeled - you certainly don’t want to sleep on this one.

Forget Me Not - What Were You Gonna Say [DAR001]

words: belch | label: diamond & raw

Edinburgh based label Diamond & Raw first caught our attention when we boogied down to their showcase at Coalition back in early March. Equipped with a high calibre soundcloud, carefully chosen roster and a couple of banging showcase mixes - there were no surprises when head honcho Adam Rowley smashed it at Sneaky Petes. Now, their debut release from Bristol based trio, Forget Me Not, is set to drop at the end of this month - and you can have a listen to the whole thing and see what we have to say about it after the jump.

preview l-vis 1990’s ‘club constructions vol 1’ on night slugs

words: belch | label: night slugs

Night Slugs is one of only a few labels to have relentlessly pounded out high quality music without fail. My favourite part of the output is undoubtedly the flawless white label series, which has brought forth some real classics (Jam City - Ecstasy Refix and more recently Helix - Drum Track). It filled many avid Slugs fans with excitement to hear that one of the labels honchos, L-Vis 1990, was bringing us yet another ‘series’ to get our teeth into. Full details and even a preview after the jump.
