Edinburgh based label Diamond & Raw first caught our attention when we boogied down to their showcase at Coalition back in early March. Equipped with a high calibre soundcloud, carefully chosen roster and a couple of banging showcase mixes - there were no surprises when head honcho Adam Rowley smashed it at Sneaky Petes. Now, their debut release from Bristol based trio, Forget Me Not, is set to drop at the end of this month - and you can have a listen to the whole thing and see what we have to say about it after the jump.

It has been almost a year since the release of elusive London based producer Jai Paul’s sublime track ‘BTSTU’ (on XL Recordings), and almost five years since the demo for this debut track first emerged only gaining widespread coverage in 2010, from the likes of Zane Lowe and Giles Peterson among others. The long-awaited follow up, and only the second release from Jai Paul, does not disappoint. Stream the whole thing after the jump.

Radio 1’s In New DJs We Trust programme has brought onto mainstream radio some very worthy producers, including of course Kissy Sell Out, Benga and Skream, Alex Metric and Toddla T to name but a few. And in need of a shake up, the beeb has gone all out and come up with a very exciting rota for the new season. Mosca, Julio Bashmore, B. Traits and Jordan Suckley will all be on rotation every week for the next 36 weeks - bringing some of their underground knowledge to the fore. Mosca mix and more details after the jump.

The first 12”, an unpredictably loud and crunchy offering set to drop April 9th, can be previewed below.

As the weather moves (very) slowly towards spring and we begin to shake off those second semester blues, a good night out is definitely welcome. After a month or so of great events, including Rodigan’s packed-out appearance at the Caves, Itchy Feet’s lively return to Studio 24 as well as High Contrast and Parov Stelar living up to expectations, things should be looking good for Edinburgh’s less-mainstream nightlife. But this year a host of the unique venues which define this city are facing closure. The most recent of these threatened spaces is one of Edinburgh’s best underground venues; the beloved Bongo Club. Keep on reading for more information, details on how you can help and a video interview with Ally Hill, the top dog..
