Although our last post was a TreeFNGR tune from a couple of weeks back (it’s been sat in the outbox whilst studies have taken over) - here is the brand new tune dropped on the soundcloud today. Known to me as ‘Klut (1st Demo)’ since I’ve been playing it in my sets - but apparently rebranded as ‘I’m TreeFNGR’ - this one, with it’s hypnotic vocal samples and more gully vibes on the beat, certainly provides a solid introduction into the mind of the anonymous producer (or producers?).

Last Friday the Buff Basslines crew went over to Badnews in Glasgow to see Coki, Benji B, Pangaea, Phaelah and Mungo’s Hifi tear the roof off the Arches, so unfortunately we weren’t able to make the show.
However, to make it up to you, Belch and Albert Gravel went back to back on the decks and recorded you a radio show, which moves from some soulful detroit house through militant two step garage and ends with a whole load of dubstep, with a usual emphasis on the biggest and best bass tunes we could come up with.
So feel free to listen and download at your leisure - and we’ll be back live in the studio this Friday from 9pm with more of the same.

Love or hate him, illusive rocker turned brostep pioneer Skrillex (real name, Sonny Moore) walked away from the Grammy Awards last night with 3 trophies in his rucksack. Having been nominated for 5, Moore nabbed Best Dance Album with Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites (ahead of deadmau5’s titanic 4x4=12), alongside Best Dance Recording for the aforementioned LP’s title track and Best Remixed Recording for his euphoricly filthy take on Benny Benassi’s “Cinema”. Having only just realised this very evening that I missed the release of the new James Blake release Enough Thunder (by a whole 3 months..) I felt it could be quite important to scribble down a few words about a brer who has, over a very short career, produced some seriously genius records on a variety of my favourite labels, not to say anything of his beautiful self titled debut album which came out earlier this year. could be a bit of an old one for some of you, but I really like this (been on the car playlist all week). called bass head by bassnectar and all i can describe it as is 170bpm dubstep (as opposed to the usual ‘naughty 1-40’)
