Hereford based Synthetic Epiphany (a.k.a. Marcus Levy-Chance) is certainly one of the relatively few emerging ‘future garage’ creators who manages to cut through the vast wash of Burial tribute acts who dominate endless soundcloud pages. His slick production style and well-crafted percussion particularly caught my attention at first, and recent collaborations with CoMa, the beautifully dark and unique female vocal talent from Kent, certainly bode well for things to come. With a debut EP on Edinburgh-based label Seeking Blue in the pipeline (entitled ‘Beauty In Errors’) - we have this track to give you, a remix which features on Coma’s ‘May All The Bridges I Burn Light My Way’ EP. Listen and download after the jump.
An etherial 2 step take on Coma’s track, ‘Where Do We Go’ (deep Thom Yorke vibes on the original) - the whimsical piano melody and tasteful digitisation of the layered vocals float on top of a solid 2 step riddim - rendering this the perfect after hours track whilst you still have enough energy to bounce around the darkened living room.
Nice one. Watch this space for forthcoming release info and listen out for other hints of Synthetic Epiphany in future BB radio shows and sets. Go and download the rest of the EP at CoMa’s soundcloud.
